समाचार एजेंसी पीटीआई की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, बी737-800 विमान केरल के कालीकट से दुबई पहुंचा था, वहां विमान के सामान रखने वाले हिस्से में सांप पाया गया. सभी यात्री विमान से सुरक्षित उतार लिए गए.
डीजीसीए के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने इस घटना की जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि एयरपोर्ट की फ़ायर सर्विस को बुला लिया गया था. उन्होंने बताया कि ये ग्राउंड हैंडलिंग के दौरान हुई गलती का नतीजा है. घटना की जांच की जाएगी और ज़रूरी कार्रवाई होगी.
