ग्वालियर / भारत निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा विधानसभा निर्वाचन के लिए जारी किये गये कार्यक्रम के तहत ग्वालियर जिले में 26 नवम्बर को शाम 5 बजे से चुनावी शोरगुल थम जायेगा। इसके साथ ही आम सभाओं, जुलूस, ध्वनि विस्तारक यंत्रों से प्रचार आदि गतिविधियाँ पूर्णत: प्रतिबंधित हो जायेंगी । कलेक्टर एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी श्री अशोक कुमार वर्मा ने सभी राजनैतिक दलों एवं उम्मीदवारों से कहा है कि निर्वाचन आयोग के उक्त दिशा निर्देशों का कड़ाई से पालन करें ।
ज्ञातव्य हो कि विधानसभा निर्वाचन कार्यक्रम के तहत 25 नवम्बर को प्रात: 8 बजे से अपरान्ह 5 बजे तक जिले के सभी विधानसभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों में वोट डाले जायेंगे । मतदान समाप्ति के 48 घंटे पूर्व चुनावी प्रचार बंद करने के आयोग के आदेश हैं ।
कलेक्टर एवं जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी श्री वर्मा ने बाहर से आये विभिन्न राजनैतिक दलों के पदाधिकारियों व कार्यकर्ताओं को 25 नवम्बर को अपरान्ह 5 बजे के बाद जिले की सीमा से बाहर चले जाने के निर्देश दिये हैं । उन्होंने कहा है कि भारत निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा इस संबंध में जारी दिशा-निर्देशों का सख्ती से पालन कराया जायेगा। संबंधित अधिकारी व पुलिस प्रतिबंधित समय में होटल, लॉज, सामुदायिक भवन व धर्मशाला आदि पर नजर रखेंगे कि वहाँ कौन-कौन से व्यक्ति ठहरे हुये हैं।
आयोग के यह भी निर्देश हैं कि जिले की सीमा पर बाहर से आने वाले वाहनों की सघन जाँच की जाये । जिला निर्वाचन अधिकारी ने यह भी स्पष्ट किया है कि मतदान केन्द्र से 200 मीटर की परिधि में 26 नवम्बर को अपरान्ह 5 बजे के बाद प्रचार करने अथवा भीड़ एकत्रित करने पर भारतीय दंण्ड संहिता की धारा 188 तथा लोक प्रतिनिधित्व अधिनियम 1951 में निहित प्रावधानों के तहत कानूनी कार्रवाई की जायेगी ।
