ग्वालियर। जल संरक्षण के लिए लगातार कार्य कर रही ग्वालियर की सावित्री को भारत सरकार ने ‘जल हीरो’ की उपाधि दी है. हाल ही में केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्रालय ने एक प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया था, जिसमें राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर कोरोना संक्रमण के चलते ऑनलाइन प्रतियोगिता कराई थी. जिसमें देश भर से जल संरक्षण को लेकर बेहतर काम करने वाली तीन हजार से ज्यादा लोगों को शामिल किया गया था. जिसमें सावित्री श्रीवास्तव भी शामिल थी.
सावित्री श्रीवास्तव ने इस प्रतियोगिता में अच्छा प्रदर्शन किया था. जिसके बाद उन्हें जल शक्ति मंत्रालय की तरफ से इनाम राशि के साथ ही ‘जल हीरो’ के नाम से अवार्ड भी दिया है. इस उपलब्धि के बाद सावित्री श्रीवास्तव ने कहा कि, वो लगातार पानी बचाने की दिशा में प्रयास कर रही हैं. क्योंकि पानी आज के वक्त में बहुत जरुरी है. उन्होंने कहा कि, यह ग्वालियर के लिए खुशी की बात है, उनका चयन जल शक्ति मंत्रालय की प्रतियोगिता में हुआ.
बता दे कि, ग्वालियर की रहने वाली सावित्री श्रीवास्तव पिछले कई सालों से जल संरक्षण को लेकर बेहतर कार्य कर रही हैं. उन्होंने अभी तक जल संरक्षण से अरबों लीटर पानी बचाया है. जल संरक्षण क्षेत्र में अभी तक शहर के 20 पुराने कुओं को वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग से रिचार्ज कर चुकी हैं. सावित्री ने अभी तक अलग-अलग राज्यों में हजारों वाटर हार्वेस्टिंग प्लांट लगवाए हैं. सावित्री श्रीवास्तव ने 18 साल पहले जल संरक्षण अभियान की शुरुआत की थी.
